Bryan and Mercer’s history can be traced back through various preceding firms for over a century!
Having started life as a London Firm, the practice moved outside of the city to serve the newly expanded areas of Hertfordshire with an office opening in Watford.
In a few short years the firm opened a branch in St Albans which was then forged into its own firm under the name of Bryan and Gordon. Bryan and Gordon established itself in the centre of St Albans town, with a simple aim: to provide a high quality service to people and making daunting legal processes as smooth as possible.
By the 1980’s the Firm had made the move to its current offices on London Road and, following a change in management, became Bryan and Mercer. The firm as it is today was born and was ready to make its mark.
Since then the firm has focused on a commitment to simple clear concise advice to clients and to providing a high quality service. The firm has also been dedicated to training the next generation with all of the current directors having trained and earned their spurs within its nurturing environment.
We therefore often find our members and staff comparing our firm to a family run business as indeed, it has operated in this way since coming to its current format. We truly do feel this way and we believe that this is what sets us apart in our local and wider community.
